Faceless YouTube Channel For FREE
You can start your own YouTube channel without spending a dime!
Yep, you read that right.
In today’s email, I'm sharing a simple, step-by-step guide to launching a faceless YouTube channel — Totally FREE!
Niche Research
In our last email, we took a deep dive into niche research and explored 8 ways to find the perfect niche for your YouTube channel. Today, I’ll share a quick, straightforward method for finding a niche, especially if you missed the last email.
Here’s what you need to do: open YouTube in incognito mode on your browser. Head over to the “Trending” section and start checking out videos that are racking up views, especially from channels with under 100-200K subscribers. This is where we can spot potential opportunities.
Once you’ve found a promising topic, the next step is to dig a little deeper. Type that topic into YouTube’s search bar, and open 7-10 of the top channels that aren’t too big. Look at each channel’s age, total views, and subscriber count.
If it’s a relatively new channel—maybe just a few months to a year old—and it’s getting solid views on most videos, you might be onto a good niche.
But don’t stop there! Watch some of their videos to study their editing style, monetization tactics, visuals, and see what they’re doing right. Think about ways you could do it even better.
One more tip: if you’re targeting a specific country, use a VPN or proxy to change your location to that country. This will give you content ideas tailored to that audience.
Topic Research
This step is where many channels hit a wall. No matter how good your niche or video quality might be, if you're not creating videos that viewers actually want, you’ll eventually feel like giving up on YouTube.
A common mistake new YouTubers make is posting content they think will work instead of paying attention to what viewers truly enjoy.
How to do topic research?
Once you’ve found a few competitor channels during your niche research, it’s time to use them for topic ideas. Start by opening each of these channels and sorting their videos by popularity. This lets you see which content ideas viewers in your niche are loving.
Next, write down the top video ideas that keep popping up across different competitor channels. Look for patterns, then think about how you could make these ideas even better or add a fresh twist.
The following step is to create your new YouTube channel dedicated to this niche. Subscribe to all your competitors from this account, then start watching content only related to your niche.
Avoid watching unrelated content from this channel, as this will help YouTube push similar videos to your home feed. These recommendations will lead you to more competitors and fresh video ideas.
Focus on ideas that have gathered 90K - 200K views in a short time. These high-performing videos are gold for finding out what’s working right now.

Script Writing
Now that you’ve found video ideas proven to go viral, the next step is writing an engaging script. This is a big deal because even though it may seem indirect, a strong script can significantly impact your video’s success.
If your script isn’t interesting or helpful, viewers might click away within seconds. And when that happens, YouTube’s algorithm gets the signal that your video isn’t engaging, which means it won’t get pushed to more viewers.
If you’re great at writing and know how to capture a viewer’s attention, you can absolutely write your script manually with your own research.
But if not? No worries! I’ve got a solution that’ll make this step easier.
You can use AI to help with script writing! And while there are tons of AI tools out there, I’m going to share a free one: “Maker Suite.”
Here’s how it works: Enter your keyword, choose the video length, select your target audience, and pick a video type. You can even add a sample script to match your style and any specific points you want to include from your research. In just a few seconds, it’ll generate a complete, engaging script for your video.
But here’s a tip: don’t use the script straight out of Maker Suite! Copy it into Google Docs, read through it, and clean it up. Remove any unnecessary headings, extra words, or AI jargon to make it sound more natural.
And for the all-important hook? You can even use ChatGPT! Just ask ChatGPT for help with a line to grab your audience’s attention, like this:
“Hey, GPT I’m creating a video on topic [ ], and I want you to write an engaging hook for this video. The hook should have statics, emotions, curiosity, or fear to make it engaging; that can help me keep the viewers engaged. Ensure to use natural and conversion tones, but not too casual. And use simple English that anyone can understand. Avoid using difficult words or jargon.”
Voiceover
Now, let's create a voiceover for your video. If you’re comfortable with English and have a decent voice, you can use your own voice for this step.
But if you're like me…
And maybe English isn’t your strong suit, or you’re just not confident recording your own voice, AI can help!
There are both free and paid tools available. If you’re able to invest a bit, I recommend going for a paid tool, as these typically offer more natural-sounding voices. Free options can sometimes sound a bit robotic, which isn’t ideal for keeping viewers engaged.
A great paid option is Eleven Labs. It can produce high-quality voice overs that sound very realistic and can help boost engagement—ultimately leading to more views.
For completely free options, you can try:
Both offer free versions, which are good enough to get you started. The only downside is there might be a limit on how long each voice clip can be.
But no worries—you can generate two or three smaller clips and merge them together in your editing software.
Video Visuals
For the visuals in your videos, there are a few free options: stock footage, AI-generated images, or motion graphics. Which one works best for you depends on your niche and what’s already popular in your space.
For example; If you search "YouTube Automation" on YouTube, you’ll see that most AI-driven videos use a mix of AI-generated images, screen recordings, AI avatars, or motion graphics.
But, say you’re in a niche like "Abduction Stories" – here, you’ll likely find competitors using AI images, stock footage, or even real photos of the story’s main characters.
The key is to analyze what top channels in your niche are doing and find a style that works well for your content.
If you’re leaning toward AI-generated images, try tools like "Ideogram" or "Leonardo." They offer free credits that refresh every 24 hours.
If that’s not enough, you could create multiple accounts with different emails (though using tempmail isn’t exactly ethical).
Editing
This is a step where a lot of people struggle – either the videos don’t turn out engaging enough, or they lack the right tools to make them look professional.
But here’s a good option: try CapCut for video editing. Just install it on your device, and you’re ready to go. CapCut lets you create high-quality videos with all the essentials like filters, effects, transitions, and more.
If you’re not already skilled at editing, don’t worry – you don’t need to spend a dime to start running a faceless YouTube channel. But you will have to invest something, whether it’s time or money.
So, I’d suggest investing your time! With consistent practice, you can pick up the basics of video editing in a month. The key is not just to watch tutorials but to practice daily to get the hang of it.
You’ll find plenty of free courses on YouTube for CapCut and other editing styles used by popular channels like Ali Abdaal and Magnet Media.
Do it now, practice, and you’ll improve in no time!
Create Faceless Channel
Manage your Channels
Thumbnail
Creating thumbnails can be one of the trickiest parts of running a faceless YouTube channel, especially as a beginner. Thumbnails are powerful—they can make or break your video’s success, regardless of how good your content or ideas are.
This is where AI comes in! We’ll use ChatGPT to help create an eye-catching thumbnail in a style that grabs views.
Start by finding a competitor’s video with a thumbnail that’s performing well and drawing in views. Download that thumbnail and upload it into ChatGPT. Ask it to analyze the thumbnail and list all the design details it notices.
Once you have the details, ask ChatGPT to write a text prompt to create a similar image for your own video.
Copy this prompt and paste it into your favorite AI image generator, like Leonardo. If you like the result, you’re all set! If not, ask ChatGPT to adjust the prompt as needed. You can also fine-tune your thumbnail in Canva for free to make it just right.
Publishing
The last step is to get your video published on your channel! Before uploading it to YouTube, rename the video file to include your main targeted keyword instead of the random file name. This small step helps with visibility.
Once you’re ready, upload the video and fill out all the basic details. For the title, you can use tools like ChatGPT or VidIQ. VidIQ’s article generation feature can be super helpful here.
Just enter your keyword, and it will create an outline and even suggest a title. Simply copy the generated title, and you’re good to go!
After you’ve got the title down, you can grab the description from VidIQ or use ChatGPT if you’re looking for a specific style or tone.
Now, let’s add some tags. VidIQ and competitor videos are great resources to find trending keywords. Adding these keywords to your video tags and description can boost your video’s chances of being discovered.
